Scuba Diving Alert Systems are important to have in the water to ensure you and your dive buddies safety. Any one of these systems can be great for attracting your dive buddies’ attention in the water, and the marine whistle is a must for attracting attention above the water. In this video, Adreno’s Zoe Pocklington gives a rundown of some alert systems and how they work.

Some Alert systems include:
A dive rattle creates some sharp sounds in the water as a bearing moves up and down a steel cylinder so your dive buddy won’t miss it.
Underwater tank bangers also make very sharp and distinct noises. An elastic band which wraps around the tank can be pulled and released to bang a steel ball against your tank.
An underwater horn clips onto the low-pressure hose and your BCD. With the push of a button, you’ll be sounding like a duck that just broke the sound barrier.
A dive whistle is perfect for attracting attention when you need help and is a must have.
