    Filleting Knives

As the name suggests, these are for filleting your catch. Long, thin and super sharp blades cut through the skin and fillet of fish like a hot knife through butter when in the right hands. A large trailing point and long bevel make cutting fish meat an efficient process, and that's generally the trend you'll see across our range of filleting knives. This basically means that these knives have a long cutting belly for efficient cutting. Some filleting knives come with a rounded tip for cutting larger fish.

The more delicate, flexible design of a filleting knife allows the blade to work its way around fish bones and flex underneath the skin whilst moving through the fillet with ease. However, there are a variety of filleting knives where their blades vary in terms of their shape, length and stiffness and ultimately it just comes down to personal preference. Depending on the type of fish you're filleting and/or skinning and how you intend to fillet, you may wish to use a different filleting knife.
