    Abalone Tools

Otherwise known as Pāua knives, Abalone irons are designed specifically for removing abalone from rocks ideally without harming them thanks to their blunt square edges. This gives you a chance to return your catch if it isn't to size. However, there is still a chance the abalone will die from being removed, so measure before you remove if you can! In some places, including Victoria, you are required by law to use a blunt device such as an abalone iron.

At Adreno, we support sustainable fishing practices that mean we can continue to enjoy our world-class aquatic environments in the future. Remember to check your local zoning and catch laws! Not everywhere is free game, and there may be specific times and places where abalone hunting is prohibited. We recommend reading up on your local state regulations and talking to someone with experience.
