Adreno has a range of dive computers watches that will help to monitor your performance and ensure you are diving safely, including popular brands such as Suunto, Cressi, Omer, Mares and more.
Features of most spearfishing/freediving watches include total dives, dive time, depth, personal records, date, time, surface interval times, configurable alarms, descending depth alarms and much more. Most dive computers also include software so that you can download your dive stats to your computer at home and monitor your progress.
Not many people think that a dive computer watch is important for freediving but the most common cause of blackouts, or worse, is because of cutting your surface interval short. The act of holding your breath results in high levels of carbon dioxide as the act of breathing is how the body removes CO2 and it's these high levels of CO2 that cause a blackout. Your surface interval should be 3x the duration of your dive but when hunting a fish you often don't have 3 minutes to wait before diving back down, but to do this back to back is extremely dangerous and the constant reminder of your surface interval is the most important safety aspect for any diver.
