AIR FILLS - Steel, Aluminium - Air & Mixed Gas*
We use industry leading filling equipment at all of our stores to ensure you'll be breathing clean and safe air. Using industry leading filtration along with regular air quality tests performed by certified professionals, as well as regularly serviced by professional service agents to meet both AS 2299 certification and general WHS legislation relating to compressed-air fills. Our staff are trained in all facets of air-filling.
NOTE: WE VISUALLY INSPECT ALL TANKS PRIOR TO FILLING AND ONLY FILL APPROVED TANKS WITH CURRENT HYDROSTATIC TEST CERTIFICATES.
Hot vs Cold Fills: to obtain the safe maxmimum capacity of your tank we recommend cold filling, however we can't always guarantee same-day cold filling - depending on volume of fills on any given day. All outlets are fitted with multiple banking tanks, and we strive to maintain full capacity in those, but this is based on demand on a given day. If our banks are drained when you arrive we can only offer same day hot fills. Hot filled tanks typically lose 10-20 bar as they cool down, and we can't compensate for that by filling above the safe maximum.
*Mixed Gas: Currently we only offer Nitrox fills at our main service centre, located in our Aspley store. If you're not in a rush, you can drop off your tanks at our Woolloogabba and Gold Coast stores. As we need to transport these tanks to and from Aspley the turn-around time is 3-5 days.
We offer banked Nitrox at 32% (+/- 1%) only.
Aluminium tanks made prior to 1990 will not be filled or tested, regardless of their stamped date. Filling these tanks is inherently dangerous and not something we are willing to expose our staff to.
BATTERY REPLACEMENTS - Watches & Transmitters
In most cases, any ADRENO outlet can perform battery replacements and pressure testing on your dive computer - in some cases we need to send the watch to our Service Centre, or to the manufacturer. We provide a 3 month after service warranty for any work completed on your dive computer. You'll be provided a full technicians report with details on battery, such as Voltage and load test - which we perform on old and new batteries.
For replacements done in-store we can't always guarantee an on-the-sport service as we may need to source parts or ensure the appropriate service person is in-store. In saying that, most battery replacements are completed same-day - but not always. Replacements being handled by our service centre, or the manufacturer, carry longer service windows.
Transmitters: in order to test or change a transmitter's battery, the device needs to be disassembled, therefore all transmitter services require o-ring replacement.
Please contact us for pricing and availibity of parts, or pop in to one of our stores!

HYDROSTATIC CYLINDER TESTING
Scuba Cylinder Testing
Australian standards require all scuba cylinders to be tested annually. If your tank is out of test it will not be filled by scuba shops. Sometimes your tank may also require brushing, rumbling, etc. In order to keep your tank in good condition and minimize testing costs you should only fill your tank at a reputable dive shop. We recommend that Cylinder valves are serviced every two years. If you dive frequently (approx. 100 dives per year), you may want to have to have your cylinder valve serviced every 12 months.
Scuba Cylinder O2 Cleaning
Is your cylinder a Nitrox cylinder which requires O2 cleaning? Do you know that if at any point you get it filled using standard air you will have compromised your cylinder’s oxygen clean status? If that is the case or perhaps that you have purchased a cylinder that you need to use as a Nitrox cylinder, drop it into us. We will have the cylinder washed to remove any traces of hydrocarbons, as well as fully servicing, over-hauling, and replacing all the o-rings of the valve with Nitrox compatible o-rings. There are a number of factors that need to be accounted for with regards to O2 clean cylinders so please ask our friendly staff to help you decide if your tanks require O2 cleaning.
