Early season Manta Ray Fun on Straddie

The ever precious Manta Bombie is lighting up! Big Manta Rays are already moving through their hallowed ground just off of Stradbroke Island and Adreno's Trevor Ketchion was there to witness the majesty- this interaction was filmed on the 8th of October! So tranquil are their movements, even in this busy office the serenity of a manta's wings easily soothes the soul. Upon posting this to our Facebook page a volunteer from Project Manta identified her as #147 or Pinocchio! She is seen regularly in the water off North Stradbroke and we're hoping it won't be our only rendezvous of this year's Manta Ray Season! Did you know these beauties have the biggest brain to body-weight ratio in the fish world?!
