We're the crew from the boat Shore Thing & the company Sail Ningaloo! Sail Ningaloo is a sailing & diving liveaboard based out of Coral Bay on the Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia.
Too often people forget about the world's largest fringing reef.... it's the Ningaloo Reef! Even though Ningaloo is smaller than the Great Barrier Reef, we've got a heap of activity going on all year round and we're going to keep you up to date with it all.
Diverse marine life
We've got turtles, sharks, sharks chasing turtles! Humpback whales, whale sharks, dugongs, dolphins, sting rays, and manta rays.... Did you know Coral Bay is one of the most reliable places in the world to swim with Manta Rays all year round!
Oh we've got all the little things as well including some of the best coral in the world ... but you have to forgive us for getting a little distracted by the big things.
Liveaboard tours
Sail Ningaloo offers 3 day, 5 day and 9 day liveaboard sailing holidays. We cruise the Ningaloo Reef aboard 'Shore Thing', a 51ft sailing catamaran that is suited for both luxurious comfort and an action packed marine adventure. We've got 5 cabins and can sleep up to 10 guests who are always well looked after by the crew, so you're not on a big boat with big crowds....you're on a big boat and you can forget about the crowds! It’s just perfect for small groups and dive clubs.
Diving new sites
We sail to remote areas of the reef. We dive sites no one else knows about and we're always exploring and finding new sites, we snorkel we kayak we fish. We love taking photos and videos underwater of all the critters we see and we'll do our best to make you all jealous with the trip reports and photos we post.
The tours have been running for two years now and although we're relatively new to the liveaboard game, we're passionate about diving and snorkeling the underwater world and in particular the Ningaloo Reef. We're a small operation so we care about our guest's experience...because that’s what it's all about!
We have a great time showing off the reef to all our guests...it’s a tough life isn't it!
