2012 Adreno Coral Sea Spearfishing Charter - Are you up for it?!

The Plan:
The plan is to attempt to head right out to the coral sea shelf (Saumarez Reef), with stop overs at Swains reef for a day on the way there and back which will mean two full days diving at Swains, and four full days of diving in the Coral Sea (weather permitting of course). With the Saumarez Reef up for closure it could be one of the last charters to the area.
You can expect to encounter many fantastic fish including Dog-Tooth Tuna, Spanish Mackerel, a variety of Emperor species, Coral Trout, Tuskies, Parrots, Trevally, Kingfish, Cobia etc. The boat is licensed to carry double the usual bag limits per passenger meaning you will be heading home with plenty of quality fish for the freezer!
The staff on board will fillet and clean your fish twice a day.
The Boat:
The boat has accommodation for 22 passengers with 7 x 2 and 2 x 4 berth fully air conditioned cabins - there will be plenty of room as we have chosen to take just 15 people! Bathroom amenities can be found on the same level as the accommodation deck as well as the main deck. There is a large dining/serving area, lounge and library on the main deck with bar/temperate facilities with seating at the rear of the vessel. Eastern Voyager has 5 tenders and outboards perfect for spearfishing. The starboard side of the vessel is dedicated to fishing with individual bait boards and rod holders. There is also a walk in chiller/freezer on the main deck along with overhead rod holders and racks.
When:
We will be departing Gladstone Marina 4.30pm Saturday 5th May 2012, and returning 6.30am Saturday 12th May 2012.
Cost: Cost is $2895 - this includes everything for the 7 days! - all food (the meals are great!), unlimited soft drinks and water, tender fuel etc.
WARNING:
Guys and girls, this trip is not for the beginner spearo. The Coral Sea to divers is like Mount Everest for mountain climbers - it is the pinnacle of Australian diving and one of the last pristine diving spots home to numerous BIG fish species. BUT with this luxury comes the need for experience. You may come across plenty of sharks and other dangers.
It is also important to note that this is not a guided charter - tenders will be made available to you so you will need your boat license for this trip and you will need to use your knowledge (and trial and error!) to find the fish.
I went on the Adreno charter last year and we spent 5 fantastic days at the Bunker Group. It is a life changing experience and there's not a day that goes by where I don't reminisce of that magical week.
