    Diving at Manta Point/Nusa Penida

It is 8am and we are all ready to take off from Crystal Divers in Bali down to the beach to sail over to Nusa Penida. This dive spot is about 1 hour away in speed boat and we are going to check out if today is our lucky day to see the giant Manta Rays.

The trip over is nice and relaxed. When we get to Manta Point everybody is quickly gearing up and ready to get in the water both because we want to see the big guys, but the surface is also a bit choppy. We hop in the water and off we go.

Looking for the big ones As a dive spot it is not amazing, only some good corals and a lot of blue-spotted sting rays, but it is the big ones we are looking for. And then out of the dark they come, 3 big Manta Rays. They come very close to us, swimming around and having a good time and the divers get the cameras going. We are on shallow water around 14 meters and spend 45 min with them, so everybody is happy!

Healthy corals We get back on the boat and then 10 min sailing to the other side of Nusa Penida, for lunch and relaxing. Our second dive is at Toyaparka. Here the vis is a lot better than at Manta Point and also a good current, so in we go! There is so much to look at, healthy corals and fish life everywhere.

We have a beautiful 1-hour drift dive and saw so much stuff, back at the boat and getting ready to go back to Sanur.

As a bonus, after about 30 minutes of sailing, we see dolphins jumping for us. All in all a great day diving in Bali...
