    Dive Gizo & Fatboys Resort
    Escorted Group Departure

Explore the Unexplored: Dive Gizo & Fatboys Resort

An exotic wonderland of WWII wrecks, pristine reefs, and rustic island charm.

    The Adventure

Join Adreno Ocean Outfitters for an escorted group departure to one of the most remote and rewarding dive destinations in the Pacific. Located just a 15-minute boat ride from Gizo, Fatboys Resort offers breathtaking views of Mt Kolombangara and the crystal-clear waters of the Solomon Islands.

    Why Gizo?
    • The Tao Maru: Japanese WWII transport ship resting between 7–37 metres.
    • Grand Central Station: A hive of underwater action where strong currents attract massive schools of fish.
    • Island Life: Surface intervals with picnic lunches and evening BBQs on Kennedy Island.

The Solomon Islands is an exotic wonderland of dramatic landscapes, rich cultural traditions, and extraordinary biodiversity. For travellers seeking unique adventures and a destination less travelled, this remote corner of the Pacific offers the perfect escape. Located just a 15-minute boat ride from Gizo, Fatboys Resort, Bar & Restaurant sits on Mbabanga Island with breathtaking views across to Kennedy Island and the majestic Mt. Kolombangara volcano. The resort’s rustic island charm is complemented by tastefully appointed bungalows surrounded by lush greenery, all within a short stroll of the iconic jetty bar and restaurant, which extends out over the reef—an unforgettable setting to relax and dine above the water. Scuba diving is arranged with Dive Gizo, offering up to three boat dives daily at a variety of spectacular sites. Between dives, enjoy a relaxed surface interval and picnic lunch on one of Gizo’s remote islands. The surrounding waters are calm and protected, making them ideal for exploration. A highlight for many divers is the Tao Maru, a Japanese WWII transport ship resting between 7–37 metres, along with several fascinating WWII plane wrecks in the area. Another must-see is Grand Central Station, at the northwestern tip of the Gizo Islands, where strong currents attract an incredible concentration of marine life both big and small—truly a hive of underwater action. With its pristine reefs, historic wrecks, and abundant marine life, Gizo is without question a diver’s paradise and a photographer’s dream.
