    The month of December seems to be getting better and better for Indonesia’s first Career Development Centre (CDC). We are very pleased to announce something special indeed. Crystal Divers is now an Approved Learning Provider in the MODs Enhanced Learning Credit (ELC) Scheme with the provider number; 4892.

    What does this mean? The ELC scheme is designed to assist serving and former members of HM Armed Forces to attain further or higher level qualifications for personal development at Level 3 or above on the National Qualification Framework (NQF). Members are entitled to claim up to 10 years after they leave the Forces. ELC is available at two tiers;

    1. Lower tier; level of up to £1,000 pa. for those with 4 or more years’ eligible service. 2. Upper tier; level up to £2,000 pa. for those with 8 or more years’ eligible service.

    For (ex)-members of HM Armed Forces Providing they meet the criteria, personnel may make ELC claims in up to 3 separate financial years. The PADI IDC, Instructor Development Course, is the only recreational scuba diving qualification, which runs in accord with the requirements for ELC. Serving members of HM Forces and former members can now use their ELC to conduct their IDC at Crystal Divers in Bali.

    This is perfect for Crystal Divers as we have resettlement training for members of the Armed Forces who are in the processing of leaving. We train them for a new career in scuba diving and in a new continent to start their new lives. The approval for Crystal Divers to utilise ELC means that this gives a lot more opportunity for these Service Leavers to gain further training during their resettlement phase and/or after they leave the Forces.
